Fabric Dyeing Weekend

Day 1 of dyeing weekend at www.hivebradford.org.uk/ our tutor Claire clarabellacraft.blogspot.com/ gave us the chance to experiment using different dye baths, Indigo, walnut and onion skins. Pieces of silk, cotton and wool were placed in the baths and this is what they looked like afterwards hanging on the line to dry. A great day lots of laughter and chat.

Art and Meditation

Yesterday had a relaxing and creative class at Forster Community College.
Attended Art and Meditation masterclass, our tutor Mo guided the class on two meditations and we then had lots of resources to play with.

Silk Painting and Stitching

I haven't blogged for a while, however I have been busy.

This canvas is covered with blue hand and machine stitched recycled sample fabric. This was covered with a piece of silk, hand painted and hand stitched, and in the middle I hand stitched a piece of machine embroidered dissolvable fabric.

This is now hanging in my stair case.
