Katies secret Christmas pressie for her mum and dad

Wow! busy day with Katie today.

Although I had planned a crafty session, Katie arrived with a plan herself today.

To make her mum and dad a door plaque.

We sat down and with Katie's ideas, (plus a picture of her mum and dad that she had brought with her)we came up with a fab door plaque.

We needed: cardboard, paint (rainbow colours), hearts, ribboon, material and glitter.

Step 1

Find and paint cardboard. Katie decided she wanted blue as her background.

Step 2

Cut out a heart shape from some material that Katie had found from my stash. The picture of her mum and dad is to go behind the heart cut out.

Step 3

The blue paint is dry, it is time for Katie to paint a rainbow.
Step 4

Print out a label 'Mum and Dad's Room'

Step 5

Rainbow dry, time to add some more colour. Using a sponge and stencil, Katie added more lovely colours to the top of the plaque.

Step 6

Glue the picture behind the heart cutout and add some ribbon (sorry no picture)

Step 7

Glue picture to plaque, add hearts and glitter. Hold picture up for a proud aunty take a photo.
