Christmas Carols!

This is only my second attempt at an easel card, but I absolutely love how it's turned out:

Lili of the Valley Challenge 69

These challenges are really helping me get through making my Christmas cards :)

This is for Lili of the Valley's Challenge 69, which is based on a sketch by Bev:

Recipe:
Image: Lili of the Valley 'Little Shepherd Boy'
Papers: My Mind's Eye and Magnolia
Flowers: From Wild Orchid Crafts

Batik this week, using hot wax I blocked out my design and then dyed the cloth. The parts covered in wax resisted the dye. When the wax was removed the original colour showed through.

At Textile class we made our own printing blocks. I printed on white cotton a repeat pattern. When this was dry I painted the cotton with fabric dye.

This is a birthday card for my cousin Katie who is 8 on Saturday.  I decided to make a shaker card, with both holes in the 8 being separate shakers.
Starting to get going with my Christmas cards now, and another go at a challenge :)

I'd like to enter this into two challenges:

Just Magnolia Week 76 - 2x2
Totally Tilda Challenge 7 - Traditional Christmas (Red and Green)

The theme for Just Magnolia challenge is 2x2, so I've got 2 Magnolia stamps, 2 ribbons, 2 pointsettias, 2 flowers, 2 pairs of snowflakes, and you can't really tell in the picture, but the thread used for stitching is two colours!
